National Performance Report 2009-10 - urban water utilities
In its fifth year of publication, this National Performance Report is the world's most comprehensive and detailed document on the performance of urban water utilities.
The report spans all critical performance areas of water resources - health, customer service, asset management, environmental, finance and pricing. It includes information provided by 79 water utilities that supply around 18.3 million Australians with their urban water services.
This report was prepared by the National Water Commission, all state and territory governments, and the Water Services Association of Australia.
The 2009-10 Urban NPR has been prepared in three parts:
- Part A-a comparative analysis
- Part B-utility-by-utility data
- Part C-a spreadsheet.
Part A presents comparative tables and charts with accompanying commentary and analysis. It focuses on 28 indicators for retail/distribution utilities and nine for bulk utilities.
Part B is a comprehensive, utility-by-utility report, which presents all 117 indicators that have been reported.
Part C is an Excel spreadsheet containing all reported information. It is similar to Part B, but with the advantage that interested parties can more easily access and use the information for their own purposes.
