About the project

The database will be a web-based portal that allows for the collection and storage of information reported in the national performance reports. The database will provide data integrity.

The development of a database will allow:

  • direct entry of data for the year to be reported by utilities
  • historical data to be entered and a time series of results to be formed
  • the entry of audit results and sign-off on data
  • the ability to export data to a publisher
  • the ability to run queries and produce reports for comparative analysis purposes
  • the accurate production of comparative tables to be published in the report

Project benefits

The project will:

  • ensure the community receives credible, accurate and transparent information on water utility performance
  • advance the National Water Initiative objective of benchmarking pricing and service quality for metropolitan, non-metropolitan and rural water delivery agencies.
