About the project
The main output of this project is a toolkit to administer various modelling systems used for water management in Australia. The systems within the toolkit will be developed in partnership with relevant state government agencies with responsibility for water management and planning. Further, these systems will be kept updated and managed to levels acceptable to all jurisdictions. The focus is to provide one point of contact for modelling systems for use in the different water planning processes across Australia. It is envisaged that the modelling systems will be maintained to a high level and will be trusted products appropriate for best practice water management.
Project benefits
This toolkit will provide a national platform for water management modelling systems. It is envisaged that the toolkit will promote more consistent methods of water planning across the country by maintaining the few best practice systems in one area. Source Rivers will link in with other beneficial management tools proposed by eWater in other related project proposals received under RNWS.
