- $82 million National Groundwater Action Plan.

Water for the Future
Water for the Future is a long-term national plan to secure the water supply of all Australians. Water for the future is managed by the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts. Under this plan, the Australian Government is investing $12.9 billion over ten years to address four key priorities:
- taking action on climate change
- using water wisely
- securing water supplies
- supporting healthy rivers.
Water for the Future currently has two programs running:
- Irrigation Modernisation Planning Assistance
- National Rainwater and Greywater Initiative.
