Northern Australia sustainable yields

Assessing the groundwater and surface water resources from Broome to Cairns, providing critical information on current and likely future water availability in Northern Australia. 

Northern Australia Aquatic Ecological Assets

Mapping, classifying, assessing and prioritising aquatic ecological assets across northern Australia including a trial of the high conservation value aquatic ecosystems framework .  

Northern Australia Land and Water Taskforce Work Plan

Supporting the taskforce to better understand the opportunities for new and sustainable development in Northern Australia and the potential impacts of these opportunities.

Indigenous Community Water Facilitators Network

Establishing a community-based network to advance Indigenous engagement in the research and management of tropical rivers, water use and conservation across northern Australia.

Indigenous Water Policy Group

Providing funds to continue the work of the Indigenous Water Policy Group that was established with funding from Land and Water Australia.

Enhancing knowledge and understanding of river ecology and water-dependent ecosystems

Increasing knowledge and enhancing capacity to underpin water planning in the north for both surface water and groundwater systems.
