About the project
The Australian Government funded a two-stage project to investigate improving the in-field verification of non-urban meter accuracy. The first stage investigated, analysed and made recommendations for preferred techniques and technologies.
Stage 2 developed the techniques, tools and recommendations for in-field verification of non-urban meters including the possible investment in equipment prototype development and testing.
Project benefits
The Raising National Water Standards investment in improving in-field verification of non-urban water meter accuracy project advanced the National Water Initiative in achieving more effective and efficient approaches to support metering and measuring outcomes, and improved understanding of in-field accuracy of non-urban water meters.
The ability to test non-urban water meters on site is of particular importance given the impracticality and costs of removing those metering devices for testing off-site.
