Australian Government water agencies and programs

Several Australian government agencies have a direct role in national water resource planning, management and policy. Other Australian Government agencies contribute to water management and/or collect water information.

Ministerial councils and committees provide policy and legislative oversight of water issues, and there are related Australian Government funding programs.
