National Water Commission

Our library and projects archive

This website contains project information, publications and media relating to the National Water Commission’s operations from its establishment in 2004 to its renewal and refreshed role commencing July 2012.

During this period the Commission managed the Raising National Water Standards (RNWS) Program, which closed on 30 June 2012, having supported 178 projects worth $245.12 million. RNWS investments have facilitated improved water management, provided valuable analysis to support the Commission’s reform assessments, and explored emerging challenges to efficient water use. All RNWS project information is retained on this website.

The Commission also produced many important assessments and reports between 2005 and 2012, including the Waterlines series. Our library provides long-term access to all these publications. For publications released after 1 July 2012, visit our current website.
